Our client is seeking a hands-on Prototype Integration & Test Engineer to join a small engineering team delivering an exciting technology Proof of Concept within the mining and industrial technology sector.
This is a unique opportunity to work on the integration, assembly and testing of a portable technology platform incorporating embedded hardware, positioning technology, industrial communications and rugged field deployment.
Working alongside an experienced Solution Architect and Project Manager, you'll play a key role in transforming a concept into a working prototype and supporting its testing and validation.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional support or maintenance role.
You'll be involved in every stage of prototype development, including hardware integration, system assembly, testing, troubleshooting and validation.The successful candidate will work within a collaborative engineering team delivering a practical solution for deployment in a challenging operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and integrate prototype hardware.
- Configure communications and positioning equipment.
- Integrate vehicle power and low-voltage electrical systems.
- Assist with enclosure assembly and mechanical integration.
- Support hardware configuration and commissioning.
- Perform bench testing and fault finding.
- Participate in structured system and field testing.
- Capture technical evidence including logs, photographs and observations.
- Produce clear technical documentation and test records.
- Work closely with the Solution Architect to resolve technical challenges.
