The Role

Reporting to the Compliance & HSEQ Manager, you will provide hands-on support to project teams and contractors through the implementation and maintenance of HSEQ systems while promoting a positive and proactive safety culture across site operations.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting site inspections and HSEQ audits
  • Supporting implementation of HSEQ systems and initiatives
  • Driving risk management activities across projects
  • Facilitating HSEQ meetings and consultations
  • Monitoring contractor compliance and safe work practices
  • Investigating hazards and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
  • Supporting safety training and education initiatives
  • Maintaining HSEQ documentation and records
  • Assisting project teams with compliance requirements
  • Promoting continuous improvement across safety, quality and environmental systems
About You

You are a safety professional who enjoys being present on-site, building strong relationships and positively influencing behaviours.
You understand that the best safety outcomes come from collaboration, communication and leading by example.
To be successful, you will have:
  • 5+ years' experience within a construction HSEQ or site-based environment
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
  • Knowledge of HSEQ management systems and relevant legislation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation capability
  • The ability to coach, influence and support project teams
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach
A Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety and a construction trade background will be highly regarded. A current driver's licence is essential.
