Data Engineer – Financial Services / Data / AI – 30k to 50k

I am currently helping our Client seeking a Data Engineer to join the team in Hong Kong.

Role

  • Assist the Business initiatives focused on data analysis projects utilizing large datasets for risk assessment and routine reporting, catering to all departments within the organization.
  • Data engineering: Involve in processes from automation to data integration using data engineering tools and workflow automation solutions.
  • Data analysis: Collaborate with different business units to create self-monitoring dashboards that aid in risk management and informed decision-making.
  • Support project managers in mentoring business users on how to effectively use BI tools and the Data-as-a-Service platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or related disciplines.
  • Over 3 years of experience in executing data projects, with a proven record of delivering tangible business results being a significant advantage.
  • Strong skills in Python and SQL are essential.
  • Familiarity with Uipath, Xceptor, PySpark, and Airflow is highly desirable.
  • Competence in data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Experience in central banking is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Collaborative team player with a strong aptitude for working with others to achieve shared goals.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
