Introduction:

We are looking for an experienced General Manager for Human Resources and General Affairs to support the president of our client, located in Tokyo.

This important role needs a strong leader who understands company management and can oversee several key departments.


About the Role:

As the General Manager of Human Resources and General Affairs, you will help the company president and be a key part of the management team.

Your job will include managing governance, strategic planning, and performance across departments like Human Resources, General Affairs, Process Management, and IT.


Responsibilities

  • Company Governance: Oversee company management according to the company’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Department Leadership: Lead and manage a team of two (Human Resources, Personal Assistant to MD and General Affairs), and oversee IT group to ensure they work efficiently.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement department goals and strategies that align with the company’s overall objectives.
  • Organizational Development: Promote learning and development within the entire organization.
  • Job Descriptions: Create and apply job descriptions for staff positions.
  • Performance Management: Ensure departments meet their goals and perform well.
  • Budget Control: Manage the budget for the related departments.


Requirements

  • Experience in Company Governance: Knowledge and understanding of company management, including HR and general affairs.
  • Legal and Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Japanese laws and regulations related to the job.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the manufacturing industry and its processes.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant IT systems.
  • Communication Skills: Good at working with both Japanese and international team members, with proficiency in English and Japanese required.
