We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our client's team on an inital 5-month contract in Melbourne.
You’ll be responsible for designing and developing reliable data pipelines, maintaining data models and supporting the delivery of high-quality data assets for reporting, analytics and business operations. You’ll work closely with Data, BI, Technology and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical data solutions.

You’ll be responsible for designing and developing reliable data pipelines, maintaining data models and supporting the delivery of high-quality data assets for reporting, analytics and business operations. You’ll work closely with Data, BI, Technology and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test and deploy data pipelines and core datasets
- Build and maintain data models and data warehouse capabilities
- Develop and manage ELT/ETL processes, particularly using dbt
- Work with Snowflake to support data integration, reporting and analytics
- Monitor data processes and resolve operational and data quality issues
- Maintain clear documentation across pipelines, models and datasets
- Support data governance, security, access controls and PII protection
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions
- Provide technical input into the ongoing improvement of the data platform
You’ll have 5+ years’ experience in data engineering or technology, with strong hands-on capability across:
- SQL
- Snowflake
- DBT
- Data modelling
- ETL/ELT and data pipeline development
- Data platform design and integration
- Experience with Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Fivetran and Power BI will be highly regarded.
