Performs a variety of distribution center activities related to one or more of the following processes: packing, shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, stock handling, storing, distribution and inventory support. Provides high quality, cost effective, and efficient service to meet current and future demands. Such activities may include the following as well as other duties as assigned
Principal Responsibilities: Fulfills orders from stored inventory meeting customer requirements and inspection/testing processes. Ships orders within time commitments and completes all documentation Communicates with lead/supervisor regarding any fulfillment issues or problems.? Receives, unpacks, and inspects incoming materials and product, and verifies against written orders. Returns defective materials.? Ensures documentation such as packing lists, shipping labels, and other such documents are complete, accurate and processed appropriately.Job Level Specifications:? Acquiring basic knowledge of job content, practices and procedures. Still learning skills necessary to fully perform job.? Performs functions that are routine in nature with minimal complexity or variation.? Work is performed under supervision and receives detailed instructions to perform tasks. Follows priorities provided to them for performing work.? Interacts mostly with immediate peers within assigned work group. Limited interaction and information exchange with other internal departments or work groups may be required to perform role.? Impact of decisions is typically contained within assigned work.Work Experience:? Typically less than one yearEducation and Certification(s):? High School Diploma or equivalentDistinguishing Characteristics:? Requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and to consistently/repetitively lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.? Overtime occurs frequently and is required based on business need.? May require forklift certification.? May be required to meet specified visual acuity standards if completing final inspections.
