About the Role:
This role provides expert security services specialising in Cisco Firepower Threat Defence (FTD) and Identity Services Engine (ISE) solutions across hardware, virtualised, and cloud environments. Working closely with engineers, the position leads end-to-end deployments and migrations, driving network remediation, reducing operational risk, and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist security services focused on Cisco Firepower Threat Defence (FTD) and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) solutions for large enterprise environments.
- Deliver security implementations across appliance-based, virtualised, and cloud-deployed Cisco security platforms.
- Partner closely with engineering teams to deliver critical network security projects and remediation initiatives.
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of FTD and ISE deployments and migrations, including assessment, design, implementation, testing, and validation.
- Perform security solution upgrades, migrations, and optimisation activities while minimising operational risk and service disruption.
- Validate implemented solutions through comprehensive testing to ensure compliance with quality, security, and operational standards.
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations on Cisco security best practices and architectural improvements.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Firepower Threat Defence (FTD) and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
- Proven experience deploying, managing, and migrating enterprise-scale security solutions.
- Expertise in firewall technologies, network security, identity and access control, and network segmentation.
- Experience working within complex enterprise networking environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams and project stakeholders.
- Experience supporting critical network remediation and transformation projects.
