About the Role:
As the Director of Sales, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our success in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales/CCO, you'll be responsible for architecting and executing our business development plan, establishing key partnerships, and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in crafting the business development plan for the ME and SE Asia markets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, nurturing enduring partnerships with retailers and wholesalers.
- Recruit and lead a top-tier local team, driving them towards achieving our business goals.
- Supervise the coordination of supplies with our sources and the EU mother company.
- Expand and enhance existing accounts in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, with a keen focus on the Middle East.
- Pioneer new business prospects across the Middle East and Southeast Asia, leveraging innovative strategies.
- Exhibit a 'trader' mindset to efficiently manage inventory and secure lucrative deals.
- Apply a blend of key account management expertise and trading acumen to navigate the intricacies of the Middle East retail landscape.
- 10+ years of trading experience, with a minimum of 7 years in B2B container and pallet sales.
- 5 years Key Account Management with top category retailers (pallet and case sales)
- 2 years recent Key Account Management experience in Middle East market
- Robust comprehension of the berry industry, with a focus on blueberries, strawberries, or raspberries.
- Well-established network within the territory's supply chain and service provider ecosystem, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of competitor businesses in the region.
- Outstanding leadership prowess, capable of motivating and galvanizing teams towards common objectives.
- Proficiency in pallet-level trading, coupled with an extensive understanding of berry products.
- Meticulous attention to detail, coupled with a passion for optimizing product performance.
- Tenacious and driven, adept at navigating and capitalizing on opportunities within the Middle Eastern markets.
- Autonomous worker with effective communication skills across diverse regions.
- Proficiency in English is essential, with Arabic preferred.
- Frequent travel to the Middle East, approximately once a month
- Travel to Southeast Asia, less frequently.
