Shift: 2nd Shift • Monday–Friday • 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay: $19.50 per hour
Job SummaryAre you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We’re seeking a Material Handler to join our team in Alto, MI. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of daily operations, supporting safe, efficient, and accurate movement of materials throughout the facility.
What You’ll Be DoingAs a Material Handler, your core responsibilities will include:
? Loading and unloading materials: Move items from trucks, pallets, racks, and shelves to designated areas.
? Operating a forklift (hilo): Safely and efficiently transport materials throughout the plant.
? Following work orders: Read and interpret instructions to ensure materials are moved correctly.
? Recording material data: Count, scan, weigh, and document materials handled.
? Labeling and tagging: Attach identifying labels, tags, or markings to materials.
In addition, you will also be expected to verify packing slips, maintain a clean workspace, follow safety protocols, and participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
What We’re Looking ForQualifications:
? Ability to read and interpret written procedures and work instructions.
? Ability to complete routine production reports and labeling.
? Valid forklift (hilo) permit.
Skills:? Attention to Safety: Essential for operating forklifts and handling materials.
? Teamwork Communication: Supports coordination with leads, operators, and other team members.
? Attention to Detail: Important for verifying labels, tags, and documentation.
? Mechanical Aptitude: Helpful for operating equipment and understanding material flow.
? Basic Math Skills: Needed for counting, weighing, and recording materials.
? Familiarity with OSHA/MIOSHA regulations is a plus.
