Job Summary
Are you an experienced welder who takes pride in producing strong, high-quality work? We're looking for a skilled MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team in Holland, MI. This company specializes in steel fabrication, laser cutting, tube and wire bending, and welding, providing an opportunity to work in a hands-on metal fabrication environment.
In this role, you'll perform MIG welding and support fabrication operations while maintaining quality and safety standards.
What You'll Be Doing
As a MIG Welder, your core responsibilities will include:
- MIG Welding: Perform MIG welding on steel components and fabricated parts.
- Steel Fabrication: Assist with the fabrication and assembly of steel components.
- Component Assembly: Fit and position parts prior to welding to ensure proper alignment.
- Quality Inspection: Inspect completed welds and fabricated components to ensure quality standards are met.
- Production Support: Work alongside the fabrication team to keep jobs moving efficiently through production.
- Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all company safety procedures.
In addition, you'll work within a manufacturing environment that performs steel fabrication, laser cutting, tube and wire bending, and welding.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Previous MIG welding experience required.
- Previous steel fabrication or metalworking experience preferred.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing and fabrication environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- MIG Welding: Ability to produce consistent, quality MIG welds on steel components.
- Fabrication: Understanding of basic steel fabrication and component assembly.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable working with fabricated metal parts and welding equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy and identify quality concerns.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with welders, fabricators, and other production team members.
- Safety Awareness: Commitment to following proper welding and manufacturing safety procedures.
