PROJECT OFFICER - EXCEL

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Officer to join a large scale QLD Government organisation undergoing significant organisational and technology transformation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, process improvement, reporting, and stakeholder engagement within a fast paced project environment.

THE ROLE

As a Project Officer, you will play a key role in supporting business transformation initiatives by gathering and analysing information, processing data, documenting processes, and assisting with the implementation of change activities.

Working closely with project teams and business stakeholders, you will help ensure data integrity, support reporting requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Extract, cleanse and restructure large datasets using Microsoft Excel
  • Analyse and validate information to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Develop reports, documentation and process maps
  • Support organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor, track and report on project and action plan progress
  • Facilitate discussions and coordinate stakeholder feedback and approvals
  • Assist with workforce and organisational structure updates

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data extraction, cleansing and manipulation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience supporting projects, business improvement or transformation initiatives
  • High-level written communication and documentation skills

HIGHLY REGARDED

  • Experience working with HR or workforce data
  • Experience creating organisational charts from workforce datasets
  • Experience with Visio, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience tracking and reporting project progress and outcomes
