A Global Financial firm is seeking an experienced Compliance Production Services Engineer to join the Japan Compliance Production Services team within the Information Technology division.
This role will provide IT support for critical global compliance applications that support regulatory obligations, including Regulatory Reporting, Trade Surveillance, Transaction Monitoring, and Large Shareholding Reporting systems.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, application teams, and global technology teams to ensure stable system operations, troubleshoot production issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- Provide production support for critical Compliance applications 
- Monitor system operations and ensure application availability and stability
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and production issues within agreed service levels
- Collaborate with business users, application development teams, infrastructure teams, and global stakeholders
- Perform incident management, problem management, change management, and release support following ITIL processes
- Analyze system issues, identify root causes, and implement preventive solutions
- Support regulatory reporting, trade surveillance, and compliance-related business applications
- Perform database operations including SQL queries, data analysis, and troubleshooting
- Execute operational tasks across Windows, Unix, and Linux environments
- Support automation initiatives using scripting and automation tools
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles
- Manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced financial services environment

Required skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT development, application support, or production support roles
- Strong experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment
- Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems
- Database technologies and SQL operations
- Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Release Management (ITIL processes)
- Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and performing root cause analysis
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple issues under pressure
