Senior Accountant / Supervisor

About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant / Supervisor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable public practice professional who enjoys client interaction, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of business clients across a variety of industries.

Prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns, BAS, and other compliance obligations.

Provide proactive support to clients regarding taxation, bookkeeping, ATO matters, and day-to-day business queries.

Identify technical issues and escalate complex matters to Managers and Partners where required.

Review work completed by junior team members and provide guidance, coaching, and technical support.

Maintain high standards of accuracy, presentation, and attention to detail across all deliverables.

Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional communication and service.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support the firm's commitment to continuous improvement.

Technical & Professional Skills

Minimum 5 years' experience within a public practice accounting environment.

Previous experience at Senior Accountant or Supervisor level.

Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge.

High attention to detail and a meticulous approach to your work.

Experience reviewing work and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Ability to mentor, support, and develop junior team members.
