Carousel Picker (often referred to as an Order Picker or Warehouse Associate) is a critical role in a fast-paced, high-volume electronic component distribution center.
Job Summary
The Carousel Picker is responsible for navigating warehouse carousels to select, scan, and pack electronic components to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. The role requires high attention to detail to ensure the correct, often small, components are picked.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Picking: Utilizing an RF scanner to pick items from vertical carousels or racking systems based on pick tickets.
- Packing & Shipping: Packing items securely, checking for defects, labeling packages, and preparing them for shipment.
- Inventory Accuracy: Conducting cycle counts, reporting inventory discrepancies, and ensuring stock is in the correct location.
- Productivity Goals: Meeting daily targets for picking speed and accuracy.
- General Warehouse Tasks: Assisting with receiving, unloading trucks, and keeping the work area clean.
