Ethos BeathChapman is partnering with a growing private credit and alternative investments business to appoint a Credit Portfolio Manager.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced credit professional to join a high-performing team and take ownership of a diverse lending portfolio within a fast-growing investment platform. The role offers broad exposure across portfolio management, credit risk, borrower relationship management, and operational improvement initiatives, making it ideal for someone looking to step into a commercially impactful position.

The Opportunity

As Credit Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for the ongoing management and performance of an established loan portfolio, ensuring strong customer outcomes while maintaining robust credit and risk management standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor an existing loan portfolio across a range of borrowers and sectors.
• Develop a deep understanding of portfolio exposures and identify emerging risks and opportunities.
• Manage portfolio events including repayments, interest adjustments, covenant monitoring, restructures, and arrears.
• Work closely with borrowers and internal stakeholders to proactively resolve issues and maintain portfolio performance.
• Partner with the origination team to support the onboarding and management of new lending opportunities.
• Deliver portfolio reporting, insights, and analysis to senior management.
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and portfolio outcomes.
• Contribute to the ongoing growth and scalability of the business.

About You

You are a commercially minded credit professional who combines strong analytical capability with excellent relationship management skills.

Experience & Skills

• 5-10 years' experience within credit, lending, portfolio management, relationship management, or credit analysis.
• Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and loan portfolio management.
• Experience within banking, non-bank lending, funds management, private credit, or broader financial services.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.
• Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.

Highly Regarded

• Experience in non-bank lending and banking.
• Exposure to private credit or alternative investments.
• RG146 compliance.
• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
