About the role
The Capability Planner will support a dynamic team delivering work of strategic importance to the Department. The role will contribute across all elements of the team's work with a particular focus on the development of Cabinet submissions - work that directly influences future direction.
Role Responsibilities
To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current TSPV Security Clearance. The successful candidate will need to undergo an additional security assessment before commencing in the role.

About the role
The Capability Planner will support a dynamic team delivering work of strategic importance to the Department. The role will contribute across all elements of the team's work with a particular focus on the development of Cabinet submissions - work that directly influences future direction.
Role Responsibilities
- Responsible for the strategic writing of Government submission documentation. Undertake and/or provide advice on capability planning, project management and support, leading and managing activities to plan, develop and implement projects to meet organisational requirements.
- Engage with programs and projects to develop, review, provide advice and/or report on cost models, influence direction; seeking input and feedback from stakeholders throughout the process.
- Advise on and contribute to the formulation of budget strategies, procurement strategies, solution options, commercial approaches and tender evaluations; to support production of high-quality estimates and the delivery of capability against business requirements.
- Proven experience establishing and maintaining highly productive working relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Proven experience in delivering and/or planning complex capability development and delivery - preferably within Defence or the Intelligence community.
- 12-month contract, with 1 x 12-month extension options.
