Operations Manager

Operations Manager Christy Media Solutions is supporting our client with the recruitment of an experienced Operations Manager to take a leading role in improving and developing its multi-site US operations. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this is a hands-on, execution-focused position spanning warehousing, North American logistics, administration, systems, process improvement and operational efficiency. The role You will take ownership of practical operational challenges across multiple locations, identifying issues and driving them through to resolution. A major focus will be improving warehouse processes and discipline, modernising paper-based practices, making better use of existing systems and creating greater structure and efficiency across logistics and distribution. The position requires significant site presence and approximately 50% travel initially, with travel expected to reduce as operations improve. Key responsibilities include: Multi-site operational management Warehousing and North American logistics Process and systems improvement Operational efficiency and cost-to-serve Change and project management Improving operational discipline and standards Driving greater use of digital processes and existing systems Taking ownership of operational issues from identification through to completion Communicating effectively across geographically dispersed teams What we're looking for You will bring a strong operations background with experience across multi-site environments, warehousing, process improvement and project/change management. You should be comfortable operating in a smaller organisation where people wear multiple hats and be willing to get personally involved when operational problems need resolving. Distribution experience and an understanding of the relationship between distributors, factories and suppliers are important. North American logistics experience is strongly beneficial, while ERP experience and particularly Epicor knowledge would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be energetic, hands-on, confident and diplomatic, with excellent communication skills and the ability to read a room. You'll be comfortable making decisions, taking accountability and introducing stronger operational standards while building positive relationships with existing teams. There is also a potential longer-term career path into the Operations Director position for somebody who succeeds in the role.
