Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant, EMEA & AP | Remote UK 

Christy Media Solutions is recruiting for a Financial Accountant, EMEA & AP on behalf of our client, a growing organisation with an international footprint.

This is a standalone role reporting to the Financial Controller, responsible for financial accounting and compliance across multiple legal entities throughout EMEA and Asia Pacific.

This position suits an experienced Financial Accountant who enjoys taking ownership of their work and operating with a high level of autonomy, while staying closely connected to a wider global finance function.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and coordinating statutory financial statements across assigned legal entities
• Managing statutory filing requirements across multiple jurisdictions
• Managing VAT/GST returns and associated compliance obligations
• Supporting corporate tax calculations, provisions and transfer pricing requirements
• Acting as the key finance contact for external statutory audits
• Coordinating audit schedules, documentation, queries and deliverables
• Supporting insurance renewals and administration
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month-end, quarter-end and year-end close
• Supporting regional financial reporting and ad hoc analysis
• Improving financial controls, compliance processes and documentation
• Supporting finance transformation and process standardisation initiatives

Experience and skills:

• 5+ years of relevant VAT, tax and audit experience
• Experience with multicurrency consolidation for UK statutory reporting
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and statutory reporting requirements
• Experience coordinating external audits
• Knowledge of financial controls and compliance frameworks
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience supporting entities across EMEA and Asia Pacific
• Understanding of international tax and transfer pricing principles
• Exposure to ERP/business systems such as NetSuite (The organisation operates a NetSuite environment), Salesforce, Avalara or Tableau Financial Accountant, EMEA & AP

Experience within a technology company would be advantageous, particularly candidates who have worked in an in-house corporate environment rather than for a service provider.
