Manager, Core Banking & Delivery

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced technology leader to drive the performance, stability and strategic evolution of a core banking environment within a customer-focused financial services organisation.
This role offers the opportunity to lead a specialist team responsible for core banking platforms, payments, integrations, operational support and technology delivery. You'll play a key role in ensuring critical banking systems remain secure, resilient and aligned with business objectives, while delivering change initiatives that enhance customer and organisational outcomes.

About the Role

Reporting to the senior technology leadership team, you will be responsible for the management and ongoing development of core banking systems, integrations and related technology services.
You will lead the delivery of strategic technology initiatives, manage operational support functions and work closely with business stakeholders to deliver solutions that support growth, efficiency and innovation.
This position combines people leadership, technology management, project delivery and stakeholder engagement within a highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Core Banking & Integrations team.
• Ensure the availability, performance, resilience and security of core banking platforms.
• Manage system upgrades, maintenance activities and vendor relationships.
• Oversee operational support, incident management and business continuity processes.
• Deliver core banking projects, enhancements and regulatory initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation and optimisation activities.
• Manage integrations between banking systems and internal/external platforms.
• Oversee APIs, data flows and connectivity across multiple technology environments.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technology solutions.
• Contribute to technology strategy, governance and risk management practices.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• 5+ years' experience in technology leadership, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong experience managing core banking platforms and business-critical applications.
• Hands-on knowledge of integrations, APIs and middleware technologies.
• Demonstrated success delivering technology projects and transformation initiatives.
• Understanding of regulatory, risk and compliance requirements within financial services.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Strong leadership capability with experience developing and mentoring teams.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.

Experience within a mutual bank, credit union or financial services environment will be highly regarded.
