QA Automation Engineer (Playwright & CRM Platforms)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join a high-profile digital transformation initiative. This contract opportunity will suit a quality-focused professional who combines strong automation engineering capability with hands-on API and manual testing experience.

The successful candidate will help deliver quality outcomes across complex business-critical applications, working closely with delivery teams to design, build, and maintain robust automated testing solutions while contributing across the full testing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end automation frameworks using Playwright.
• Build and execute API and integration test suites using industry-standard tooling.
• Create both manual and automated test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing activities.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support test management processes.
• Identify, document, and manage defects through to resolution.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.
• Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

Required Experience

• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing automated testing frameworks using Playwright.
• Strong background in web application and API testing.
• Experience with Postman, API automation, and command-line test execution tools.
• Proven capability in manual testing, test design, and exploratory testing.
• Strong JavaScript and/or TypeScript development skills.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. 

Desirable Experience

• Experience working with enterprise CRM or customer-facing business platforms.
• Exposure to Azure DevOps, Jira, GitLab, or similar DevOps ecosystems.
• Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent technologies.
• Relevant testing, automation, or platform certifications.
