About the Opportunity: 
This is a standout Audit Director opportunity for an existing Director working in digital assets. You'll lead a portfolio of digital asset audits from planning through to sign-off, and you'll be the main point of contact for clients, fund administrators and regulators. CIMA now licenses virtual asset custodians and trading platforms, and stricter auditor approval rules start in January 2027. That means experienced digital asset audit leaders are in high demand on island. About You:

  • Fully qualified auditor (CA, CPA, SAICA, ACCA, etc.) and a current Audit Director with a specialism in digital assets (essential)
  • Ideally already licensed as a CIIPA practitioner member in Cayman, or eligible to get licensed on arrival
  • At least 5 years of management-level experience auditing regulated financial institutions, including digital asset funds, custodians, exchanges or trading platforms
  • Hands-on experience auditing:
    • existence and ownership of digital assets, including wallet and private key controls and blockchain confirmations
    • custody arrangements and SOC reports
    • valuation of illiquid tokens
    • IT and cyber controls
  • Good working knowledge of the Virtual Asset (Service Providers) Act, CIMA's VASP regime and AML/CFT requirements, plus audit obligations under the Mutual Funds and Private Funds Acts
  • Great interpersonal skills with clients and internal stakeholders, and a proven track record of training and developing your team in a positive, fun culture
