Job Description
  • We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical QA/QC Inspector to support the construction of semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
  • The ideal candidate has a strong electrical construction background, having advanced through the trade as a Journeyman Electrician, Lead Electrician, Foreman, or General Foreman, and possesses extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), electrical installation best practices, and quality control processes.
  • Candidates must have previous experience working on semiconductor projects or similar semiconductor fabrication (Fab) facilities, with a proven ability to ensure electrical installations meet Intel quality standards, project specifications, and industry codes.
  • This role is critical to delivering defect-free installations that support successful testing, commissioning, and facility startup.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform quality inspections of electrical installations throughout all phases of construction.
  • Verify compliance with:
    • National Electrical Code (NEC)
    • Project contract documents
    • Construction drawings and specifications
    • Manufacturer installation requirements
    • Intel engineering standards and quality expectations
  • Inspect installations including:
    • Underground electrical systems
    • Conduit and raceway systems
    • Cable tray installations
    • Medium- and low-voltage power distribution
    • Equipment setting and anchorage
    • Grounding and bonding systems
    • Electrical equipment terminations
    • Lighting and control systems
    • Instrumentation and control wiring
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and field revisions for quality compliance.
  • Participate in First Work Inspections (FWIs) and verify workmanship before production work proceeds.
  • Generate and maintain inspection reports, punch lists, deficiency logs, and corrective action documentation.
  • Work closely with electrical superintendents, project managers, field engineers, commissioning teams, and client representatives to resolve quality issues.
  • Verify completion of corrective actions prior to system turnover.
  • Support system walkdowns, mechanical completion, commissioning, energization, and final client acceptance.
  • Ensure all quality documentation is complete and turnover packages are accurate and ready for client review.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the project.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of electrical construction experience on industrial or commercial projects.
  • Progression through the electrical trade as a:
    • Journeyman Electrician
    • Lead Electrician
    • Foreman
    • General Foreman
  • Minimum 2 years of QA/QC experience supporting large industrial, mission-critical, or semiconductor projects.
  • Previous experience on Intel semiconductor construction projects is strongly preferred.
  • Extensive working knowledge of:
    • National Electrical Code (NEC)
    • Electrical construction practices
    • Quality inspection procedures
    • Electrical testing requirements
    • Manufacturer installation specifications
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • Electrical construction drawings
    • One-line diagrams
    • Control schematics
    • Equipment layouts
    • Installation specifications
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and turnover requirements.
  • Excellent written documentation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and digital quality management platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with:
    • Cleanroom construction
    • Tool installation support
    • Sub-fab electrical systems
    • Central Utility Buildings (CUB)
    • Electrical rooms and utility infrastructure
  • Experience supporting commissioning and startup activities.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • NFPA 70E Certification.
  • Current Journeyman Electrician License (preferred where applicable).
  • Experience with turnover systems and electronic quality documentation platforms.
