Dairy Hygiene Sales Rep

FRS Recruitment are now inviting applications for the role of Dairy Hygiene Sales Representative on behalf of our client who is a leading Irish chemical manufacturing company specialising in dairy hygiene solutions.
The successful candidate will work closely with dairy farmers, co-ops, and agri-professionals to deliver high-quality, reliable products that support animal health, milk quality, and farm efficiency.
Location: 1 x Vacancy - Leinster Region (field-based role)

Role Overview:
Our Client is seeking a motivated and results-driven Dairy Hygiene Sales Representative to manage and grow sales across the Leinster or Munster region. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling our range of dairy hygiene and chemical solutions, providing technical advice to customers, and developing long-term relationships within the dairy sector.
This role is ideal for someone with strong dairy knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working directly with farmers and agri-businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and develop sales of dairy hygiene product range within the specified territory
• Build strong relationships with dairy farmers, co-ops, milking machine technicians, and distributors
• Provide on-farm technical support and advice on hygiene protocols, milk quality, and chemical usage
• Identify new business opportunities and convert leads into long-term customers
• Conduct product demonstrations and hygiene audits where required
• Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to regional growth plans
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends within the territory
• Maintain accurate sales records, customer data, and reports using company systems
• Represent the business professionally at farm walks, trade events, and industry meetings
• Work closely with internal technical, production, and management teams
Key Requirements:
• Proven experience in agricultural or dairy-related sales or strong dairy farming background
• Good knowledge of dairy hygiene practices, milk quality standards, and farm operations
• Full clean driving license
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Good organizational and time-management skills
Desirable:
• Experience selling dairy hygiene chemicals, detergents, or farm consumables
• Agricultural qualification (e.g. agriculture, dairy science, animal science, or related field)
• Familiarity with Bord Bia, SDAS, and milk quality compliance standards
• Experience working within the dairy sector
