New Way Recruitment are supporting the appointment of an experienced Commissioning Home Manager to lead the launch and successful development of a brand-new luxury care service in Portsmouth. This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious and compassionate leader to shape a service culture, build a high-performing team, and create a truly outstanding resident experience within a premium care environment. We are seeking an experienced and commercially aware Home Manager with a strong clinical background and a proven track record in commissioning, turnaround, or opening new elderly care services. The Opportunity: • Lead the full commissioning and mobilisation of a new luxury care home • Build and develop a values-led, high-performing clinical and operational team • Drive occupancy growth and establish strong local stakeholder relationships • Ensure full compliance with CQC standards, governance and clinical excellence • Create a compassionate, resident-centred culture focused on dignity, wellbeing and quality of life • Work collaboratively with senior leadership to deliver operational and commercial success • Oversee recruitment, training, onboarding and team development • Embed exceptional standards in care delivery, hospitality and customer experience from day one • Manage budgets, KPIs and overall home performance What We’re Looking For: • Active NMC Pin – Nurse Qualified essential (RGN/RMN) • Previous experience as a Home Manager within elderly care • Commissioning or new service opening experience highly desirable • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance frameworks • Commercially minded with strong occupancy development experience • Inspirational leadership style with excellent people management skills • Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities What’s On Offer: • Salary up to £90,000 • Attractive performance-related bonus structure • Comprehensive induction and commissioning support • Career progression within a growing care organisation • Ongoing professional development and leadership training • Generous annual leave entitlement • Pension scheme • Supportive senior leadership team • Employee wellbeing initiatives • Opportunity to shape and lead a flagship service from launch This opportunity would suit an experienced and driven care professional who wants to make a lasting impact within a premium care environment where quality, compassion and leadership truly matter.
