Location: Mocksville, NC (Onsite) (338 Valley Rd. Mocksville, NC 27028)
Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday 2pm- 10pm) - Full-time role
Job Overview
The Receiving Lead is responsible for overseeing inbound material operations to ensure all goods are accurately received, inspected, and distributed in a timely manner. This role leads the receiving team, supports daily warehouse operations, and ensures materials are available where needed to support production and shipping schedules. The Receiving Lead helps maintain inventory accuracy, enforces safety and quality standards, and drives efficiency in material flow to support overall operational performance.
Responsibilities:
- Acts as an extension to Management in their respective department.
- Support the interview & selection processes.
- Assumes additional leadership role whenever the department supervisor or manager is out.
- Ensures department is run effectively with priority on safety, quality and production.
- Assigns work schedules.
- Adheres to all Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities, including participation in accident investigations.
- Assures the Quality of all products produced meets or exceeds standards.
- Improves our on-time delivery metrics by producing quality products and shipping them by deadline.
- Works with continuous improvement group to facilitate improvements and streamline processes.
- Ensures all employees have tools and supplies needed to perform the jobs in their areas.
- Troubleshoots machine, process, product, and people issues.
- Assumes responsibility for the Housekeeping in the area (Assign 5S & Housekeeping duties as needed).
- Ensures that Daily Performance Metrics are communicated and met.
- Participates and leads MDI board meetings and activities.
- Completes Team Leader Development Program (TLDP) and additional online or on-site courses as deemed necessary by Department Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Skills:
- GED or High School Diploma required, associate's degree preferred
- 3-5 years related experience (Internal or External relevant job experience).
- Demonstrated change management skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Supervisory or Leadership experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
