Fire Alarm Technician – Winston-Salem, NC

Responsibilities:

  • Install, terminate, troubleshoot, and service commercial fire alarm systems.
  • Install and wire initiating devices, notification appliances, control panels, and associated equipment.
  • Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics.
  • Install conduit and pathways as needed for fire alarm systems.
  • Diagnose and repair fire alarm system issues while ensuring code compliance.
  • Assist with integrated life safety systems including access control, CCTV, and security systems as needed.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas while following all OSHA and site safety requirements.

Requirements:

  • Commercial Fire Alarm experience preferred—the more experience, the better, but we'll also review Fire Alarm Installers looking to grow.
  • Strong Security, Access Control, or CCTV Technicians are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience installing, servicing, troubleshooting, or programming commercial fire alarm systems.
  • Experience with manufacturers such as NOTIFIER, Fire-Lite, Silent Knight, Edwards, Siemens, Simplex, or similar is a plus.
  • NICET certification is a plus but not required.
  • Conduit installation and bending experience is a plus.
  • Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
