Infrastructure Solution Architect – Digital Health

We’re partnering with one of Queensland’s largest and most innovative public sector organisations to recruit an experienced Infrastructure Solution Architect to join a high-profile digital transformation and capital infrastructure program.

This is a rare opportunity to help shape the technology foundations of one of Australia’s most significant healthcare expansion initiatives. You’ll work across multiple concurrent projects supporting new facilities, major refurbishments and future campus growth, ensuring critical ICT infrastructure is designed to meet both today’s operational needs and tomorrow’s clinical demands.

The Opportunity
As the Infrastructure Solution Architect, you’ll provide technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure initiatives, working closely with project teams, engineering consultants, system integrators and operational stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient and future-ready solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, influencing technical direction and working in an environment where technology directly impacts frontline service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and governance of enterprise infrastructure solutions across multiple projects.
• Develop solution architectures aligned with organisational standards and long-term strategic direction.
• Ensure seamless integration between ICT infrastructure, clinical technologies and building systems.
• Provide expert technical guidance throughout planning, design and delivery phases.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to support successful project outcomes.
• Contribute to infrastructure roadmaps supporting ongoing campus expansion and digital transformation.

Technologies & Infrastructure
You’ll work across a broad enterprise technology landscape including:

• Enterprise networking (wired, wireless and external connectivity)
• Communications rooms and structured cabling
• Telephony and unified communications platforms
• End User Computing environments
• Server, storage and virtualisation platforms
• Audio Visual and collaboration technologies
• Clinical and operational technology platforms
• Security, access control and building management systems
• Enterprise systems integration

About You
You’ll bring a strong background in enterprise infrastructure architecture together with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

Ideally you’ll have experience across:

• Infrastructure Solution Architecture
• Enterprise ICT infrastructure
• Large-scale infrastructure or digital transformation programs
• Systems integration
• Network, compute and end-user technologies
• Vendor and stakeholder management
• Architecture governance and technical assurance

Experience delivering infrastructure solutions within healthcare, government, education, defence or other highly regulated enterprise environments will be highly regarded.
