Senior Procurement Advisor – Telecom & Network Services

Rosemead, CA (Hybrid 2 days/week)

Duration: initial 18-month contract

Pay Rate: $35-40/hr




We are seeking an experienced Procurement Advisor to support strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and category management initiatives across telecommunications, wireless, and network service categories. This role will be responsible for driving cost-saving opportunities, managing supplier relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and ensuring procurement best practices are consistently applied across the organization.




The ideal candidate will have strong experience negotiating carrier, telecom, and networking service agreements, along with a solid understanding of procurement strategy, supplier management, and commercial contracting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the review, negotiation, and administration of commercial agreements across multiple service and technology categories.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies that optimize total cost of ownership and deliver measurable cost savings.
• Negotiate favorable contract terms, pricing structures, volume discounts, and long-term supplier agreements.
• Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify strategic purchasing opportunities.
• Apply financial, commercial, logistical, risk, and cost analysis tools to support procurement decisions.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and align procurement strategies with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and governance standards.
• Develop and manage category strategies, including supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal business partners and external suppliers.
• Review supplier claims, contract compliance issues, delivery concerns, and service disputes, negotiating appropriate resolutions when necessary.
• Monitor industry trends, market conditions, technology developments, and supplier roadmaps to support informed sourcing decisions.
• Identify process improvement opportunities that enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Support project execution by managing timelines, risks, milestones, deliverables, and budgets as needed.
• Safeguard company assets and ensure proper handling of confidential, financial, and cybersecurity-related information.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management experience.
• Strong experience supporting telecommunications, wireless, carrier services, networking, or related technology categories.
• Proven track record negotiating commercial agreements and service contracts for telecom and network-related services.
• Experience developing sourcing strategies and executing cost-reduction initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess financial, commercial, and operational impacts of procurement decisions.
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and supplier relationship management skills.
• Knowledge of category management methodologies and procurement best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing enterprise telecom, wireless, carrier, or network infrastructure spend categories.
• Familiarity with supplier performance management and strategic sourcing tools.
• Experience supporting large-scale corporate procurement organizations.
• Background in technology procurement, networking services, or telecommunications operations.
