About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Shutdown Planner to join a busy maintenance team on a flexible part-time basis. This ongoing opportunity is ideal for an experienced planner looking for work-life balance while continuing to support the planning and coordination of critical shutdown and major maintenance activities.
Working closely with maintenance, operations and contractors, you will be responsible for developing detailed maintenance plans that ensure work is executed safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to operations.

This ongoing opportunity is ideal for an experienced planner looking for work-life balance while continuing to support the planning and coordination of critical shutdown and major maintenance activities.
Working closely with maintenance, operations and contractors, you will be responsible for developing detailed maintenance plans that ensure work is executed safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate and maintain detailed shutdown and major maintenance schedules.
- Plan significant maintenance and replacement works outside formal shutdown windows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define, validate and finalise maintenance scopes.
- Coordinate labour, contractors, materials, equipment and specialist services.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety standards, legislation and risk management processes.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Project, including Gantt charts.
- Facilitate planning, readiness and coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor shutdown budgets, track costs and provide financial reporting.
- Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate planning documentation within SAP and document management systems.
- Previous shutdown or maintenance planning experience within the mining industry.
- Experience planning maintenance activities across fixed plant and NPI assets.
- Site-based mining experience.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Project.
- Strong experience with cost tracking, reporting and schedule management.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and coordination skills.
- Electrical trade qualification or relevant tertiary qualification (desirable).
