Our client is renowned for building homes across NW Victoria and has been in the building industry for over 30 years, specialising in volume home projects. 

Due to growth and a forward order book of projects, they are looking for an experienced Estimator to join their team. You will be reporting to the Estimating Manager (NSW) and offered further support via national teams.

Key Duties Include: 
  • Prepare accurate BOQs and detailed cost estimates from working drawings and specifications.
  • Complete material take-offs and labour calculations using estimating software.
  • Price-based house models, façade options, upgrades and client variations.
  • Produce production estimates and issue cost breakdowns prior to site start.
  • Review and approve variations throughout the construction process.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Ensure all estimates align with company margin targets and current supplier rates.
  • Identify cost risks, discrepancies and buildability issues early.
  • Maintain and update rate libraries and cost databases.
  • Support Sales, Drafting and Construction teams with timely and accurate pricing information.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Minimum of 3 years of local experience with a residential construction company as an Estimator (must have BOQ and Production experience).
  • Strong understanding of BOQs, production and sales pricing.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work at pace.
  • Solid knowledge of residential construction methods and materials.
  • Confident interpreting drawings and specifications.
  • Commercially minded with a focus on margin and cost control.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support Sales and Construction teams.
  • Experience using Framework is highly regarded.
