Introduction / Context
Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with an organisation in the Industrial sector to hire a Regional Sales Support Engineer – Data Center Solutions. This opportunity is based in Shah Alam, Selangor, supporting the expansion of mission‑critical data center cooling solutions across the region.
Position Overview
The role provides technical expertise and solution development support to regional sales teams focused on data center applications.
It directly impacts business growth by ensuring reliable, efficient, and scalable HVAC and cooling solutions are delivered to customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Work with the factory engineering team to provide pre‑sales technical support to key account managers and customers for data center cooling solutions (chiller, CDU, FWU, etc.)
• Work with the factory engineering team to prepare equipment selection, proposals, technical, and commercial documents
• Support bid responses, specifications review, project scoping, value engineering recommendations, and tender follow‑up
• Ensure accurate documentation, pricing, submittals, and technical materials are delivered on time
• Work with key account manager to prepare technical presentations, lunch and learns, and product/system education sessions for internal teams, consultants, and end users
• Provide guidance to sales teams on industry trends, technology requirements, redundancy strategies, and regulatory considerations specific to data center
• Participate in key customer meetings, technical workshops, and project review sessions
• Any other duties as assigned from time to time
• You also need to ensure all works carried out in accordance with the specified quality and EHS standards.
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
• Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical engineering or its equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in HVAC, mission‑critical systems, data center infrastructure, or a similar technical sales support role
• Candidates with the relevant education qualifications but no prior work experience is welcome to apply
Technical / Functional Expertise
• Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally with factory, sales, engineering, and service teams (mandarin speaker is preferred)
Soft Skills & Leadership Competencies
• Customer driven with excellent communication & interpersonal skills
