We are partnering with a prominent Financial Services institution seeing experienced Financial Crime professionals to support a range of regulatory and operational initiatives across Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced due Diligence, AML Investigations, Transaction Monitoring, and quality control.
This role is ideal for candidates with at least 3 years experience in Financial crime, AML, KYC, PEPs or Financial Crime Operations who have worked across one or more key financial crime disciplines and are comfortable operating in fast-paced environments.
The successful candidate will join a specialist team responsible for protecting the organisation from financial crime risks while ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities;
Customer Due Diligence (CDD) & Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
Conduct CDD and EDD reviews for new and existing customers.
Assess customer risk profiles and identify financial crime risk indicators.
Review KYC documentation and verify customer information.
Analyse complex ownership structures, beneficial ownership, source of wealth, and source of funds.
Complete periodic reviews and remediation activities.
AML Investigations
Investigate alerts, referrals, and unusual customer activity.
Conduct detailed customer and transactional analysis.
Identify potential money laundering, fraud, sanctions, or terrorism financing risks.
Escalate suspicious activity in accordance with internal procedures.
Maintain thorough and accurate case records.
Transaction Monitoring
Review and investigate transaction monitoring alerts.
Assess customer behaviour against expected activity patterns.
Identify potentially suspicious transactions and emerging risk trends.
Document findings and recommend appropriate actions.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and service-level expectations.
Quality Control & Assurance
Perform quality reviews of completed AML, KYC, CDD, EDD, and investigation cases.
Identify quality gaps, process inconsistencies, and training opportunities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and compliance monitoring.
Ensure case management standards and regulatory requirements are consistently met.
Skills & Experiences;
Minimum of 3 years' experience within Financial Crime operations, AML, KYC, Compliance or Financial Crime Risk Functions
Experience working within Banking, Wealth Management, Payments, Insurance, Professional Services or other regulated financial services environments
Experience in one or more of the following;
- Customer Due Diligence (CDD)
- Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
- AML Investigations
- Transaction Monitoring
- Quality Control / Quality Assurance
- KYC Remediation
- Customer Onboarding Reviews
Strong understanding of AML/CTF regulations and financial crime risk frameworks
Exposure to sanctions screening, PEP reviews, adverse media screening and/or suspicious activity investigations
Excellent analytical and investigative skills
Ability to assess risk and make sound judgement-based decisions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
