MC Float Driver – Oversize Heavy Haulage

Location: Perth, WA
Pay Rate: $50–$55 per hour, depending on experience
Travel Allowance: $60 per night when required to stay away

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced MC Float Driver to join our team, based out of Perth.

This role involves oversize heavy haulage and transport of machinery, operating a 50-tonne float throughout Western Australia and the Eastern States.

The successful applicant will have proven experience with heavy haulage, float operations and machinery transport, along with a strong understanding of safe and efficient transport practices.

The roster is varied and will depend on the work available and transport requirements, so flexibility with working hours and travel is essential.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current MC licence
  • Proven experience operating a 50-tonne oversize float
  • Experience with Drake 50-tonne floats
  • Strong manual Road Ranger experience
  • Previous experience transporting heavy machinery
  • Experience dealing with loaders, dozers and excavators
  • A mechanically minded approach and good understanding of machinery
  • Ability to identify and deal with basic mechanical issues
  • Strong commitment to safety and fatigue management
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Willingness to travel throughout WA and the Eastern States
  • Reliable, professional and able to work independently
