Estimator/Senior Estimator

Now partnering with a respected and established civil contractor that specialises in the delivery of road construction and maintenance for local government contracts and regional works, as well as earthworks and subdivisions across the state, our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Estimator who wants to be part of a high-performing team, is motivated to succeed, and is looking to make an impact within the business.

With over 15 years experience behind them, they have become recognised as a key player within the road construction space, achieving multiple awards for excellence and safety.

The Role:
This role will see you work directly with the General Manager in identifying and tracking business opportunities, and preparing tenders and pricing works ready for submission, seeking feedback as a means of continuous improvement to better serve clients and the industry in general. The role is suited towards someone who enjoys building relationships, with a strong people first focus.

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the civil and profiling sectors
• Prepare, price, and submit competitive tenders and quotations within required timeframes
• Develop effective tender strategies through detailed project and client due diligence
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Drive business development activities aligned with company growth objectives
• Represent the business at client meetings, industry events, and relevant forums
• Maintain accurate tender and sales reporting while ensuring compliance with company systems, safety, quality, and environmental standards

About You:
To be successful in the role, the right individual will bring the following skills, experience and attributes including:
 

• Solid experience estimating civil works, with exposure to bulk earthworks, detailed civil and surfacing projects (highly regarded).
• Experience using Pronamics Estimating software, or similar estimating platforms
• Strong capability in completing detailed quantity take-offs and developing accurate project pricing
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively within a high performing team
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to assess project requirements, risks, and opportunities
• The confidence to attend client meetings, site briefings, and industry events as required
• Based in Perth, with occasional travel required for site and tender briefings
