Senior Payroll Officer

We're seeking an experienced payroll professional to manage end-to-end payroll processing, payroll compliance, reporting and system administration. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical payroll expertise and the ability to work across finance, rostering and people functions.

• End-to-end fortnightly payroll processing.
• Manage new starters, employment changes and terminations.
• Complete payroll calculations including back pays and redundancies.
• Prepare payroll reconciliations and reporting.
• Maintain payroll compliance and support audits.
• Respond to payroll enquiries and provide advice to managers.
• Support payroll system administration and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and support payroll team members.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior payroll position.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
• Advanced payroll processing and reconciliation experience.
• Experience using payroll systems and Excel.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work accurately in a high-volume environment.
• Experience with Chris21 and Optima highly regarded.
