Financial Accountant - Mandarin speaker desired

This presents an excellent opportunity for an up and coming Assistant Accountant or Accountant to work in a broad role with excellent development opportunties. Suits someone who is comfortable reviewing AP/AR as well as owning month end and working with the Senior Accountant and FM on year end. 
This role has a clear pathway to Senior Accountant with more exposure across technical accounting and financial analysis, and passing off the AP/AR review to someone else as they build the team.

The role

• Full responsibility of month end reporting
• Review AP/AR and oversee junior accountant/s
• Analysis & interpretation of company performance and in depth analysis of clinical performance
• Establish, implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
• Maintain fixed asset register 
• Dealing with external Accountants, Tax Advisers, and Auditors
• Being a key member with regards to annual audit and half yearly audit review
• Compliance requirements of superannuation, GST, PAYG, payroll tax, ABS etc
• Consolidating monthly results with commentary / analyses of balance sheet movements and income statement variances against budget / forecast

About you

• Working towards CA/CPA or desire to commence
• Open to audit or business services 1st mover
• Strong English communication skills, verbal and written;
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin is essential.
