You will be responsible for measuring, bending, fabricating, and installing electrical conduit systems according to project specifications, blueprints, and applicable codes. Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install electrical conduit, including EMT, IMC, RMC, PVC, and rigid conduit.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and electrical layouts.
- Plan conduit routing to ensure efficient installation while meeting code requirements.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, hydraulic benders, mechanical benders, and other equipment required for conduit fabrication.
- Install conduit supports, brackets, hangers, and associated hardware.
- Ensure conduit systems are properly aligned, secured, and ready for wire pulling.
- Perform field measurements and make adjustments as necessary.
- Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and job site procedures.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Collaborate with electricians, supervisors, and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience bending and installing electrical conduit in commercial or industrial settings.
- Ability to accurately read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with hand benders, hydraulic benders, and power tools.
- Knowledge of NEC requirements and electrical installation practices.
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work from ladders, lifts, or scaffolding.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
