Human Resources Manager

Introduction:

Our client, a leading AI startup in the life sciences sector, is seeking a talented and experienced Human Resources Manager. This role offers a competitive salary of up to 15M yen plus stock options (SO). The company has a diverse workforce, including many foreign employees, so proficiency in English is highly desirable.

About the Role:

The Human Resources Manager will play a critical role in shaping and executing the HR strategy of the company. This senior position involves managing one HR staff member and overseeing a wide range of HR functions, including organizational development, recruitment, labor management, performance management, and global HR initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Organizational Development: Formulate and implement organizational development strategies, utilizing both internal and external resources.
• Recruitment: Manage mid-career recruitment efforts, including agent management and promoting referral recruitment.
• Labor Management: Oversee the design and operation of labor management systems, including attendance management, payroll calculations, social insurance, and labor-management agreements.
• Performance Management: Manage the performance review process, including semi-annual reviews.
• Global HR: Handle HR matters related to the UK subsidiary and manage visa acquisition and renewal for foreign employees.
• Recruitment Strategy: Develop and manage recruitment strategies and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Advisory: Provide recommendations on organizational issues to the management team.

Requirements:

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least 5 years of HR experience
• Management experience
• Strong interest in the company’s mission and vision
• Excellent communication skills
• Native-level Japanese proficiency

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in a venture company
• Management experience in a business company (listed or preparing for IPO)
• High English proficiency (TOEIC 940, IELTS 7.5 equivalent)
