Customer Service Associate

Our client is seeking a friendly, dependable Customer Service Associate to join their locally owned hardware store. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping customers, solving problems, and being part of a team-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, and an interest in home improvement or hardware products. Whether you're experienced in retail or simply enjoy working with people, this could be a great long-term opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers throughout the store.

  • Answer questions and recommend products based on customer needs.

  • Stock shelves and maintain organized, well-presented merchandise displays.

  • Load merchandise and assist customers with purchases as needed.

  • Operate the register and process customer transactions accurately.

  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

  • Assist with inventory, receiving shipments, and general store operations.

  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous customer service or retail experience preferred.

  • Home improvement, hardware, or construction knowledge is a plus.

  • Friendly, professional, and dependable with strong communication skills.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.

  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Benefits/Compensation

  • Full Time (approximately 42 hours per week)

  • First shift with slightly rotating schedule, including weekends   

  • $18+/hr based on experience

  • Temp to hire position  

  • Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts

  • Benefits available while employed through Career Concepts
