We are partnering with one of Australia's leading government legal practices, recognised for advising government agencies, statutory authorities and senior decision-makers on matters of legal, strategic and public importance.

Working alongside highly regarded public law specialists, you'll have the opportunity to develop deep expertise while contributing to some of the jurisdiction's most complex and significant legal issues.

The Timing
Opportunities currently exist across multiple public law teams as demand for specialist constitutional and administrative law expertise continues to grow. These appointments offer exposure to sophisticated advisory and litigation work at the intersection of law, government and public policy.

The Work Itself
These opportunities span constitutional law, administrative law and broader public law, advising government clients on issues involving statutory interpretation, procedural fairness, government powers, judicial review and legislative frameworks.

You may be helping a client navigate a complex decision before it is made, defending that decision once challenged, or advising on novel legal questions with broader implications for government and the community.

The work combines sophisticated advisory and litigation matters, offering exposure to some of the most interesting and consequential public law issues in the jurisdiction.

Sound Like You?
You will typically bring 5+ years' PAE gained in government, private practice, a regulator, tribunal, commission or another public sector organisation.
Experience in one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded:

• Constitutional law
• Administrative law
• Judicial review
• Statutory interpretation
• Public law litigation
• Government advisory work
• Regulatory law
• Human rights law

Most importantly, you'll be a thoughtful lawyer with strong analytical skills, excellent written communication and a genuine interest in public law.
