We're seeking an Export Dispatch Assistant to join a busy Hawke's Bay export operation for the 2026/27 season. Working closely with the Export Dispatch Supervisor and wider packhouse team, you'll play a key role in coordinating export orders, dispatches and documentation to ensure premium produce reaches customers around the world on time.
About the Role
You will be responsible for supporting the smooth and accurate dispatch of export shipments, ensuring customer orders, container loading schedules and export documentation are completed correctly and on time.

About the Role

- Assisting with export order coordination and dispatch schedules
- Checking product specifications, quantities and shipment requirements
- Completing dispatch, traceability and export documentation
- Recording and uploading information into company systems
- Liaising with transport providers and logistics contacts
- Monitoring shipment deadlines and escalating any issues
- Working closely with forklift operators and packhouse staff
- Supporting general operational requirements throughout the season
Success in this role will come down to your attention to detail, ability to follow processes and practical judgement.
You'll ideally have:
- Strong computer skills and confidence learning new systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work with numbers, data entry and documentation
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- A calm, methodical approach under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability, flexibility and a strong work ethic
- Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, warehousing, administration or export operations (preferred but not essential)
This is a seasonal role supporting export operations and shipping schedules.
Typical hours are:
- Monday to Saturday
- Approximately 6:00am/7:00am to 5:00pm
- Occasional Sunday work during peak periods
- Some flexibility with occasional mid-weekdays off depending on shipping requirements
