EQUIP People is looking to hear from experienced GPS Digger Operators across Palmerston North and the wider Manawatū.
We're currently speaking with a local civil client who is looking for experienced operators, so we're getting ahead of the game and building a pool of suitable people.
If you've got solid excavator experience, know your way around GPS machine control and are open to hearing about your next opportunity, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
Depending on the client's requirements, the work may involve:
- Operating GPS-equipped excavators
- Using GPS machine control to work accurately to levels and grades
- Excavation, trenching and general earthworks
- Working from plans and site specifications
- Working alongside ground crews and other plant operators
- Completing daily machine checks
- Maintaining a safe and tidy worksite
- Following site-specific Health & Safety requirements
What We're Looking For
- Proven excavator operating experience
- GPS machine-control experience
- Previous civil construction experience
- Comfortable working to plans, levels and grades
- Good understanding of civil site practices
- Reliable and safety-focused
- Able to work independently and as part of a wider crew
- Relevant NZ driver's licence and endorsements
Highly Regarded
- WTR endorsement
- Experience operating larger excavators
- Drainage, earthworks or bulk excavation experience
- Civil construction experience across a range of sites
- Good understanding of levels, grades and site plans
