Test Lead P&C and Digital Customer (P3)

A Global Insurance firm is looking for an experienced Test Lead to join the Test and Transformation function, supporting testing activities across P&C and Digital Customer initiatives.
You will be responsible for planning and managing testing activities across IT projects, developing test strategies and Master Test Plans, ensuring comprehensive test coverage, and leading test execution and reporting.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to ensure that testing is effectively integrated into project delivery and that solutions meet business and quality requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in IT project initiation and planning activities from a testing perspective.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage testing activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain Master Test Plans (MTP) based on project scope, timelines, risks, and quality objectives.
- Coordinate testing activities across multiple project teams and stakeholders.
- Develop and review comprehensive Test Strategies and Master Test Plans for complex IT systems and transformation initiatives.
- Define test scope, approach, methodology, test phases, entry/exit criteria, deliverables, and timelines.
- Ensure testing strategy is aligned with overall project objectives and SDLC methodology.
- Support testing across Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Lead the development and review of detailed manual test cases based on business and technical requirements.
- Ensure adequate test coverage across functional requirements and business processes.
- Develop and maintain Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM).
- Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and other testing phases as required.

Required Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in software development, software testing, QA, or test management.
- Proven experience leading testing activities for medium-to-large or complex IT projects.
- Strong experience in Test Strategy and Test Planning, including Master Test Plan (MTP) development, Test Case Design and so on
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Practical experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience managing test risks, issues, dependencies, and project quality.
- ISTQB Foundation / Agile certification is preferred.

Salary: Up to 12,000,000 JPY/Year (9,000,000 JPY base + Bonus +OT)
Working Hours: 9:00 – 17:00 (Mon-Fri)
Working Style: Remote (one day in-office per month)
Holidays: Two days off per week (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays), Paid vacation, New Year's holiday, special leave, summer vacation
