We're partnering with a leading local government organisation seeking a Business Support Officer to join a busy and collaborative operational team. If you're an organised administrator with excellent customer service skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

About the Role

As the Business Support Officer, you'll provide high-quality administrative and operational support while acting as a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders. You'll manage customer enquiries, maintain accurate records, coordinate financial and administrative processes, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email and correspondence.
  • Manage customer requests, maintain accurate records and update corporate systems.
  • Coordinate administrative activities, meetings and documentation.
  • Process purchase requisitions, invoices and financial records.
  • Liaise with contractors and internal stakeholders to resolve enquiries.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with organisational procedures.

About You

You'll be a proactive and detail-oriented administrator who enjoys supporting teams and delivering outstanding customer service. You'll also have:

  • Previous experience in administration or business support.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and business systems.
  • High attention to detail with strong data entry and record management skills.
  • Financial administration experience (purchase orders, invoices or reconciliations) will be highly regarded.
