Maintenance Fitter Opportunities

The Company
We're partnering with two well-established Australian manufacturers with strong reputations for safety, quality and employee retention. Both businesses operate modern manufacturing facilities, offer supportive maintenance teams and pride themselves on fostering positive workplace cultures where people stay for the long term.

Due to continued growth, both sites are looking to add experienced Maintenance Fitters to their maintenance teams.

The Roles
Working closely with the Maintenance Manager and Production teams, you'll be responsible for keeping plant and equipment operating safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance, breakdown response and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preventative and breakdown maintenance across manufacturing equipment
• Fault finding, diagnostics and mechanical repairs
• Maintaining conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Supporting production to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability
• Contributing to safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives
• Working within a collaborative maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Both Day and Afternoon Shift opportunities are available.
Afternoon Shift attracts an additional 15% shift loading, with both sites offering regular overtime paid at penalty rates (1.5x-2x).

About You
To be successful, you will have:

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner or equivalent (essential)
• Experience as a Maintenance Fitter within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and breakdown maintenance experience
• A proactive, reliable and safety-first approach
• Full Australian working rights
• Ability to commence immediately or within short notice

Please note: These opportunities are only available to candidates currently residing within reasonable commuting distance of the North-West (near Essendon) or South-West (near Lara) manufacturing sites.
