Product Designer (Contract)

Company / Role Overview

Our client is supporting a financial institution on a portfolio of strategic digital transformation initiatives. They are seeking an experienced Product Designer to drive complex product design engagements across customer-facing financial platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with business, technology, and product stakeholders to define user experiences, solve complex workflow challenges, and deliver scalable digital solutions in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product design activities, from discovery and research through to solution definition, prototyping, and delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including business users, product owners, technology teams, and external partners to define and refine digital experiences.
• Translate customer needs, business objectives, and operational requirements into intuitive and scalable user journeys.
• Design complex workflows, transactional experiences, and data-rich digital products across web and mobile platforms.
• Facilitate workshops, design reviews, stakeholder discussions, and collaborative problem-solving sessions.
• Contribute to and leverage design systems to ensure consistency, usability, and scalability across multiple product streams.
• Create wireframes, high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and supporting documentation to guide implementation teams.
• Drive design quality and champion user-centred design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience delivering end-to-end product design initiatives within enterprise, digital product, or platform environments.
• Strong background in UX, UI, interaction design, customer journey mapping, and product discovery.
• Experience working closely with business, product, and technology stakeholders within agile delivery environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex design workstreams, navigate ambiguity, and influence decision-making across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design projects, problem-solving approach, and tangible business outcomes.
• Hands-on experience with design tools such as Figma and modern design system practices.
• Experience within financial services, wealth management, digital banking, investment platforms, brokerage platforms, fintech, or related domains will be highly regarded.
• Excellent communication, presentation, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
