Senior Accountant

 A collaborative organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Finance team. About the Role

Reporting to a senior finance leader, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end activities, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.

What You'll Do

• Prepare month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting financial schedules
• Assist with year-end audit preparation and collaborate with external auditors
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Ensure revenues and expenses are recorded accurately and in the appropriate reporting periods
• Monitor inventory reconciliations and investigate variances between financial records and operational data
• Process daily cash receipts, perform bank reconciliations, and support accounts receivable activities
• Assist with intercompany accounting and related reconciliations
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in finance projects and provide support for business initiatives as required

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is considered an asset
• 5+ years of progressive financial accounting experience in a corporate environment
• Strong understanding of financial reporting principles and month-end close processes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems
• Experience with reporting or business intelligence tools is considered an asset
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departments
