The problem you are solving

Our personalized product retrieval and ranking system serves personalised product rankings to millions of customers. Several adjacent components need focused attention to move from MVP status to serving all customers in a good way.

Specifically, you will work on one or more of:

  • Building smarter data pipelines based on analysis and iterations to improve business value
  • Adjust data pipelines and advanced analytics solutions to incorporate our business processes
  • Structured exploration of cold-start solutions — from pragmatic baselines (country-level averaging) to collaborative filtering to embedding-based approaches — with a clear recommendation as output

You are the right fit if you have:

  • Strong Python and SQL skills with real production pipeline experience
  • Hands-on experience with DBT or equivalent data transformation tooling
  • A structured approach to discovery: you know how to scope a problem, evaluate options, and deliver a clear recommendation, not just a list of ideas
  • Experience in e-commerce and recommendation systems
