PIT Operator I – Day Shift
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
Pay Rate: $21.00 hour

Position Overview

Nesco Resource is seeking an experienced CWR-PIT Operator I for a warehouse operation in Statesville, NC. This position involves operating powered industrial equipment, including forklifts and order pickers, to safely move and organize products and materials.

Previous forklift experience is required.

This position also requires working at elevated heights while secured in a safety harness. Candidates must be comfortable working at heights and following all required fall-protection and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial lift trucks, forklifts, and order pickers to push, pull, lift, stack, and move products, equipment, and materials.

• Safely operate equipment at elevated heights while wearing required safety harnesses and protective equipment.

• Use handheld scanners accurately to complete warehouse transactions.

• Load and unload trailers as needed.

• Perform inbound receiving processes.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with the 7S program.

• Follow warehouse safety procedures and demonstrate a commitment to process excellence.

• Follow Supply Chain quality policies and procedures.

• Work effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other team members.

• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• At least 1 year of warehouse experience.

• Previous forklift/PIT experience.

• Training and/or certification in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks.

• Comfortable working at heights and using a safety harness.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime when needed.

• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. frequently and more than 75 lbs. occasionally.

• Ability to lift and handle objects of varying shapes, sizes, and weights.

• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull.

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

• Ability to use hands and fingers to handle tools, equipment, and materials.

• Ability to work in hot or cold warehouse environments.

• Strong communication skills with leadership and coworkers.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
