As an HSE Coordinator, you'll work closely with managers and colleagues across the business, helping to create a safe, compliant, and positive working environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities
As the HSE Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day management of Health, Safety and Environmental systems across the site.
- Preparing and reviewing risk assessments, COSHH assessments, safe systems of work and other HSE documentation.
- Assisting with accident, incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
- Conducting regular workplace inspections and internal safety audits across manufacturing, warehouse and logistics areas.
- Helping to maintain compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, CHAS and other relevant management systems.
- Monitoring statutory inspections, contractor management, employee training records and compliance documentation.
- Working alongside management teams to promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the business.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and supporting the implementation of best practice.
About You
To be successful as an HSE Coordinator, you will ideally have:
- Experience within a Health & Safety role.
- Previous experience working in manufacturing, engineering, warehousing, logistics or another industrial environment.
- A practical, hands-on approach with excellent organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues at all levels.
- Good IT and administration skills with accurate record keeping.
- Sound knowledge of PUWER, LOLER, COSHH, DSEAR and risk assessment procedures.
Desirable Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate.
- IOSH Managing Safely.
- Experience working with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
